My mom is from Southern California and moved to Colorado in the 80s when she married my dad. Throughout my life I have been visiting my grandma’s every year or two. Last year when I thought I would be spending a year abroad, I went to visit my 93 year old grandma unsure of when I would get to see her again. I decided to photograph the little details of her house and yard that I will want to remember years from now. This is a departure from what I usually shoot but I have been wanting to challenge myself and this series holds a lot of emotion for me.
